The Committee on Education moved to amend the bill on page 4, section §18-20-10, line 72, by striking subdivision (3) from the bill and inserting in lieu thereof a new subdivision (3) to read as follows:

(3) Screen every first grade student enrolled for dyslexia and dyscalculia using the screening instrument adopted by the state board;

And,  

On page 4, section §18-20-10, line 74, by striking subdivision (4) from the bill and inserting in lieu thereof a new subdivision (4) to read as follows:

(4) Before the 2022 – 2023 school year, screen any student enrolled in second through fifth grade who has not been screened for dyslexia and dyscalculia under subdivision (3) of this subsection using an age-appropriate screening instrument adopted by the state board;
